What's going on
Crow's feet are the fine lines that fan from the outer eye, formed by years of smiling and squinting in the Western Australian sun. The skin here is the thinnest on the face, so it shows first.
They are also the lines people feel most ambivalent about — they are, after all, evidence of smiling. The goal is softening, not removal; a face that smiles without lines looks stranger than one with them.
