Frown and forehead lines

The lines that stay when your face is at rest.

What's going on

Frown and forehead lines form where muscles fold the skin thousands of times a day — between the brows, across the forehead. Early on they vanish when the muscle relaxes; over time they etch in and remain at rest.

They bother people because they change how a resting face reads — tired, cross or worried when you are none of those things. That mismatch is usually what brings someone in, not vanity.

Why it happens

  • Repeated muscle movement over years
  • Sun exposure thinning the skin
  • Genetics — some faces animate more
  • Stress and habitual expression

What can realistically be done

Anti-wrinkle treatment

Softens the muscle activity behind the lines; the skin above then smooths over weeks. Conservative dosing keeps movement natural.

Skin treatments

Needling and regenerative treatment improve the skin itself, so etched-in lines soften further.

Medical skin care

Prescription-strength skin care supports collagen between visits, where appropriate.

What can't

Deeply etched lines will soften, not vanish — and we will say so. Anyone promising to erase decades of movement in one sitting is not being honest with you.

What a first visit involves

Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
