Under-eye hollows and dark circles

Tired-looking eyes that sleep does not fix.

What's going on

The under-eye area hollows as the fat pads of the mid-face shift, and darkness comes from several different causes — shadow from the hollow, thin skin showing vessels, or genuine pigment. Each has a different answer.

This is why we assess before treating: filler helps a shadow, does nothing for pigment, and can worsen puffiness in the wrong anatomy. The five-minute diagnosis decides everything.

Why it happens

  • Mid-face volume shift creating shadow
  • Thin skin showing underlying vessels
  • True pigmentation, often genetic
  • Allergies, sleep and salt showing as puffiness

What can realistically be done

Tear trough assessment

Filler helps only true hollows — we check your anatomy first and decline where it would not help.

Skin boosters

Thicken and hydrate thin under-eye skin over a course.

Laser or needling

For genuine pigment and texture, under Dr Shahid's eye.

What can't

Puffiness and bags are often made worse by filler — a common correction we perform is dissolving under-eye filler that should never have been placed. Honest assessment comes first.

What a first visit involves

Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
