Eyebrow thinning

Brows that have thinned, faded or never quite recovered.

What's going on

Brows thin with age, years of plucking, hormonal change and occasionally thyroid or skin conditions. Because brows frame the face, their thinning is disproportionately noticeable — and disproportionately fixable.

The first step is diagnosis: much brow thinning responds to treating a cause, and Dr Truong has subspecialty experience in brow restoration where medicine is not the answer.

Why it happens

  • Years of plucking or waxing
  • Hormonal change — thyroid, menopause
  • Age-related thinning
  • Skin conditions affecting the brow area

What can realistically be done

Medical assessment

Rule out thyroid and skin causes — quick and often rewarding.

Regenerative treatment

Supports regrowth where follicles remain.

Brow restoration planning

For established loss, Dr Truong assesses candidacy honestly.

What can't

Brows lost to decades of plucking do not always regrow — follicles scar. We assess what remains before promising anything.

What a first visit involves

Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
