Your first treatment
Considering aesthetics for the first time, and not sure where to start.
What's going on
Most people considering a first treatment want an honest opinion before they want a treatment. What would actually help? What would not? What does it cost? What could go wrong? Those are the questions a first consultation exists to answer.
At Lumière, a first visit is a conversation with a doctor — assessment, options, costs, risks — with no treatment pressure attached. 'Not yet' and 'not at all' are normal outcomes here, and you will not be charged for a treatment we decline to provide.
Why it happens
- Curiosity without a clear goal — completely fine
- One specific bother you want an opinion on
- Wariness of the industry — justified, and we share it
- Wanting to understand before deciding
What can realistically be done
A consultation, nothing more
Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor, ending with a written plan and honest options.
The gentlest start
Many first-timers begin with a clinical facial or skin programme — useful in its own right.
A written plan
Everything discussed, costed and risk-stated in writing before anything is booked.
What can't
You will never be treated at a first meeting, rushed, or sold to. If your concern is medical rather than cosmetic, we will tell you — the GP pathway is in the same building.
Who to see
What a first visit involves
Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
