Scarring and stretch marks

Marks from surgery, injury or growth — improved, not erased.

What's going on

Scars and stretch marks are changes in the skin's collagen architecture. They mature and fade somewhat on their own over one to two years; treatment can accelerate and improve that, within honest limits.

Fresh pink marks respond better than old white ones — another reason early assessment matters. We will tell you at the first visit what degree of improvement is realistic for yours.

Why it happens

  • Surgery, injury or pregnancy
  • Growth spurts and weight change
  • Individual healing tendency
  • Early tension or sun on the healing scar

What can realistically be done

Medical needling

Improves texture and colour of scars and stretch marks over a course.

Regenerative treatment

Supports remodelling, often combined with needling.

Laser

For redness in newer scars and texture in older ones.

What can't

No treatment removes a scar — anyone claiming otherwise is not being straight with you. Meaningful improvement, yes; invisibility, no.

What a first visit involves

Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
