Jawline and jowls

Softening along the jaw that contour cannot fix.

What's going on

The jawline softens as skin loses elasticity and the deeper supports of the face shift with age. Jowls form where tissue descends past the jaw's edge, and no cream or exercise changes that.

It is one of the most common concerns we see, and one of the most honestly answered: some of it is treatable, some of it is surgical territory, and knowing which is which is the consultation.

Why it happens

  • Ageing of skin and deeper facial supports
  • Genetics — jaw structure varies
  • Weight fluctuation
  • Sun damage reducing elasticity

What can realistically be done

Dermal filler for jawline structure

Careful structural support can sharpen the jaw and disguise early jowling.

Masseter treatment

Slimming the masseter muscle refines the lower face where muscle bulk contributes.

Skin quality work

Needling and energy-based treatment improve elasticity modestly but genuinely.

Honest referral

Where the change is beyond what injectables can do, Dr Truong will say so and outline the realistic options.

What can't

Established jowls are a surgical question, and injectables can only camouflage so much. We will tell you plainly where the line sits for your face.

What a first visit involves

Thirty to forty-five minutes with a doctor or nurse: your history, an assessment, and an honest plan with costs in writing. No treatment at a first visit. What to expect
